How much does it cost to get all MR cards in the Tears of Themis Love in the Air event?

Is your heart (and wallet) still okay?

The Love in the Air event, which runs from Feb. 11, 2022, to Feb. 25, 2022, features four Preemptive Stike MR cards (DPS cards!)—one of each of the male leads. While it's easy to choose one card to commit your time to if you have a clear favorite among the four, players romantically involved with two or more of Stellis City's most eligible bachelors are going to have a tough time making a decision.

While it's possible to obtain all four MR cards within the event period, they come with a hefty cost: thousands of precious S-Chips. Check out our breakdown of how much it costs to unlock each card to prepare your wallet for the worst.

First MR Card Cost

It costs a total of 2,500 Queen's Love Songs to get an MR card. However, the first MR card is the cheapest, as you can utilize free currencies from the event gameplay. Here's a breakdown of the free Queen's Love Songs you can use toward the first card:

  • Completing all the event tasks: 1,500 Queen's Love Songs
  • Flipping the outer and middle layers of the puzzle: 160 Queen's Love Songs

With 1,660 Queen's Love Songs in total, you can flip a total of 16 cells. The next eight cells will cost 800 S-Chips (100 each) to flip, while the final cell will cost 40 S-Chips and the last 60 event currencies. That makes approximately 840 S-Chips total.

However, you get a reimbursement of 400 S-Chips from completing the first puzzle, which brings the cost down to approximately 440 S-Chips.

Second, Third, Fourth MR Cards Cost

Assuming that you've used up all your Queen's Love Songs on the first puzzle, the next three puzzles will require you to flip all cells using S-Chips, save for the 160-200 Queen's Love Songs you get from flipping all cells per puzzle.

The last three will cost 7,500 S-Chips in total. Assuming that you've get more or less 600 free Queen's Love Songs from flipping cells, your cost goes down to 6,900 S-Chips. Since you get a reimbursement of 400 per round, your cost is further decreased to 5,700 S-Chips for all three remaining cards.

Are the MR Cards Worth it?

Since these MR cards have the Preemptive Strike skill, they're certainly worth the S-Chips from a functional perspective—especially the first, which only costs 440 S-Chips. However, given that there are a lot of upcoming events with gorgeous cards of the male leads, it's highly recommended to evaluate your S-Chip earning capacity if you're a free-to-play player before dumping them all onto this event.

Ultimately, if your heart speaks to the present softly brushing against Marius' lips or any of the other male leads' attempt at making your Valentine's the most special yet, then it doesn't hurt to pick up these functionally useful cards.
