How to locate Uranium in The Planet Crafter

Two significant uranium caves in The Planet Crafter are located at the coordinates 1784:24:1942 in the Highlands region and 584:35:-656 in a Gate Desert sinkhole. By deploying an Ore Extractor T2 or T3 at these locations, you will be able to mine uranium. However, due to the cramped nature of these caves, space for extractors is limited.

A more efficient uranium sourcing method involves launching Asteroids Attraction Rockets from the Launch Platform, accessible at 345 KTi. These rockets not only boost heat generation but also trigger meteor showers. The sky will turn yellow and then meteors with green trails will flash through the skies. Each meteorite will grant a few bits of Uranium when they crash to the ground, making this the most efficient way to farm it... that is if you're able to keep firing off those rockets. This method not only supplies a steady stream of Uranium but also accelerates global terraformation.

What is Uranium used for in The Planet Crafter

Uranium in The Planet Crafter is crucial for crafting advanced items and powering robust generators, making it one of the most valuable resources in the game. Although less frequently needed than Iridium or Super Alloy, Uranium's importance is undeniable, especially for crafting Nuclear Generators and rockets, which are important for advancing in terraformation stages. Initially, I stumbled upon Uranium in randomized crates and shipwrecks scattered across the map. There's also a chance of finding Uranium increasing after reaching the Blue Sky terraformation stage.

Uranium's primary use in The Planet Crafter is crafting Uranium Rods, which are essential for operating Nuclear Generators. These generators provide substantial power output surpassing solar and wind energy. Moreover, the material is utilized in crafting rocket engines and Pulsar Quartz, with each application contributing to the player's progress and base development.

It's also required to craft the Shredder Machine (1x Super Alloy, 1x Uranium, 1x Osmium, 1x Explosive Powder). The Shredder destroys objects placed inside it, and requires decoding Blueprint Microchips on the blueprint screen once you've reached Tier 4 to unlock the ability to craft it.
