How to get Calcium Equum in Witcher 3

Calcium Equum is an alchemy ingredient that resembles white shards used to make several different recipes in The Witcher 3. In fact, one of the very first contracts you take on, a Griffin, can be easily taken down by crafting an item that uses Calcium Equum: the Grapeshot bomb. Even though you can use the ingredient early in the game, that doesn't necessarily mean that it is very easy to obtain.
