Tiny Glade's whimsical fantasy sandbox builder has nearly effortless controls that allow you to create the cozy medieval hamlet of your dreams, even when it comes to making things from scratch like bridges. If you're wondering how, here's our bridge-building guide for Tiny Glade.
How to create a bridge in Tiny Glade
There's a great variety of build options to choose from in Tiny Glade, however, a preset option for bridges is noticeably absent. Until a feature for it is (hopefully) added to the game, there are still some creative methods you can use to make a bridge of your own.
For instance, when you have a pond or stream placed somewhere in your glade, you may want a bridge that stretches across it and connects to the rest of your little villa.
The first and easiest way to achieve this is by selecting the 'pathway' build block (the second one from the left). Choose the width that you want the path builder to have by dragging the slider above it left or right, and then drag the circle cursor over the desired location to create a path. This applies not only to land but to any body of water. Drag it across the water to create a stepstone path (as seen above).
However, if you want a solid stone bridge, that will require a bit more ingenuity. This time, select the orange building button (the first one on the left) and choose the second building option from the pop-up submenu. Place it horizontally in the water, in the direction that you want the bridge to span across the water.
Your next objective is to flatten that building down as much as possible. Use the editing controls to flatten the building's roof down completely. Then, from the bottom of the structure, use the controls to raise the foundation up to your desired height above the water. Alternatively, if you'd rather keep the base of it in the water, that can make it easier to connect the bridge seamlessly.
Level down the building until it resembles a bridge structure, and then repeat that same process by placing more building structures on either side of it, as long as you need the bridge to be. Flatten those down until they're all level and evenly placed. You can further integrate it into the surrounding land by using the pathway builder option on either end of your new bridge to make stairs. However, it's worth noting that the bridge can't be too high off the ground to use this option.
However, if you want your bridge to be higher off the ground, you can use the "hill builder" option (dark green button in the center) to create a natural, raised path toward your bridge (as seen above). It may not be quite as elegant-looking, but it's a viable option nonetheless.
