The Scavenger Boss is extremely challenging. It uses sporadic attacks and moves around the battlefield quickly, and attacks with a mix of melee and ranged attacks. Here is how to beat the Scavenger Boss in Tunic.

The Scavenger Boss has three ranged attacks. The first is a wide attack from its gun. You can either hide behind cover or shield this. The boss will also toss grenades at you that have a semi-big blast radius, so run away from them. Finally, the Scavenger Boss will leap in your direction and send out a shockwave. The bright white part can damage you, so dodge over this when it gets close.

There are also several melee attacks from the Scavenger Boss to worry about. The boss can lunge at you with a wide swing. You can shield this attack, but dodging is more consistent with avoiding getting hit. If you are close, the Scavenger Boss can swing at you with two back-to-back short attacks that can be dodged or shielded. Lastly, it will kick you and knock you down but deal no damage if you are close.

Tips for the Scavenger Boss in Tunic

The main challenge from the Scavenger Boss is how sporadic it can be. We used a combination of the Magic Dagger, Ice Bombs, and Fire Bombs to deal consistent damage and give ourselves time to heal. Freezing the Scavenger Boss will let you take a moment to heal, restore your magic, or get in free attacks.

Fire Bombs are great for dealing damage over time and can quickly drain the Scavenger Boss' health. You can also use the Magic Orb to stun the boss and possibly interrupt its attacks temporarily. Try to stay at mid-range and near cover to beat the Scavenger Boss in Tunic.
