Galerius Boss Guide – Unicorn Overlord

Every role-playing game has a boss that causes major headaches because of their damage resistance and damage output. To make the playthrough easier, here's my Galerius boss guide for Unicorn Overlord.

Unicorn Overlord - How to beat Galerius

Galerius is highly resistant to physical damage and can wipe you out with a single strike. Place your Thief in front so he can evade Galerius's strikes and set Mage units to deal magic damage to him. You will have to recruit some units outside of the main story to do this, though, so prepare yourself for some grind.

Galerius is the main antagonist of Unicorn Overlord, and the first major battle in the game involves an encounter with him. He is incredibly tough to beat because he is almost completely immune to physical attacks. Additionally, he can knock an entire party's HP down to one point, and his armor negates the first two attacks he receives. As if that weren't enough, he's accompanied by two knights, who are way weaker but can respawn whenever his garrison completes a heal.

Best Units to beat Galerius in Unicorn Overlord

The best classes for fighting with Galerius are the Thief and some magic-wielding units like the Witch or the Shaman. Put the Thief on the front line because his Evade ability can make him dodge at least one Galerius attack. The Thief can also double-attack, which overpasses Galerius' ability to nullify two attacks. Put your magic users to the back to avoid them getting targeted.

You don't have to be specific about the second unit, but make them good damage dealers. Use the second unit to destroy Galerius' knights while your first unit deals with the man himself. If your Thief gets struck down to a single HP, verify that you won't be taking damage at the beginning of the next turn. In case the Thief takes damage, send some other unit to take damage instead since you can't afford to lose him.

Where to find Witch and Shaman in Unicorn Overlord

Which and Shaman are two magic units that are necessary to defeat Galerius. You can also hire a third magic unit in a conquered garrison on the world map. You can find the Witch in the swamps southwest of Cornia, in Lebouge Hamlet. On the other hand, you can find the Shaman in the southeast, near Fort Lonteria.
