Is Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong cross-gen?

More than one generation.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong comes out May 19, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. This game looked like it was going to separate the generations of consoles, but that doesn't seem to be the case, exactly.

Will Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong have cross-gen progression?

A cross-gen feature was revealed alongside the new Primogen edition on the Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong website. This does not include cross-gen progression, this just means that players will be able to play the game on current and previous-gen consoles if they buy the Primogen edition.

The Primogen edition costs $69.99, which is more than the standard edition at $59.99, but it comes with more features. We recommend getting the Primogen edition if you are interested in playing this game but don't have a newer console so that you can play it on a newer console once you get one.

PlayStation Plus subscribers can buy the cross-gen edition for only $62.99, making the cross-gen worth the extra cost. Xbox does not include this price reduction.
