Having some trouble beating the campaign for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2? If that's the case, and you're looking for a little edge to push you through, then read on to find out how to use cheats and trainers to get just the edge you need.
How to use Space Marine 2 Trainers and Cheats
Disclaimer: Using trainers to cheat in Space Marine 2 carries the inherent risk of a ban from online play. If you're safe and smart, you'll be absolutely fine, but it has to be explicitly stressed that you should not attempt to use these cheats in any of the online modes. Doing so will result in an instant and permanent ban, and in addition, the Emperor of Mankind will personally drag himself from his Golden Throne to brain blast you into the Warp. And if you know anything about Warhammer, then you know that would really super suck. Heretic.
How to install Space Marine 2 Trainer
First, you'll want to download this trainer. Please note that whilst I myself have tested this trainer, I cannot guarantee a risk-free experience. Always be careful where you're downloading things from, and of what you're downloading. You'll want to download the 'Standalone' version.
Locate the .zip file you've just downloaded, and using an extraction tool of your choice (WinRar, 7Zip), extract the contents somewhere you'll remember. There'll be a total of three files in the folder, a read me, the trainer itself, and the Easy Anti Cheat bypass.
Copy the 'start_protected_game' file. Then, on Steam (Epic Games Launcher below), right click on Space Marine 2 in your library, hover over 'Manage', and click on 'Browse local files'. This will open up a folder, and it's in here you'll want to paste the file you copied earlier. You will be prompted to overwrite an existing file, and you'll need to allow this action. Once you've done this, you can launch your game without Easy Anti Cheat, and the trainer will function.
(If you're using the Epic Games Launcher instead, and need to locate your files, then find Space Marine 2 in your library, and click the '...' next to the tile. Hit 'Manage', and on the 'Installation' tab, click the icon of a folder with a magnifying glass.)
How to use the Space Marine 2 Trainer
Once your game is booted up, you'll first want to ensure you're not in an online mode. If you're playing as Titus, and have Gadriel and Chiron with you, you're good to go. If you'd last played either the Eternal War mode, or the Operations mode, and you're in your custom Space Marine armor and currently one of the classes from those modes, head over to the Mission Terminal (pictured below) and launch into any Campaign mission.
Now, you're free to load up the trainer itself. You can do this by tabbing out, or having the folder containing the trainer up on a second monitor if you're so inclined. This will bring up the trainer window, which will show you all the cheats and key binds required to activate them, but will be listed here too.
Key Bind | Cheat Effect |
---|---|
Numpad 1 | Infinite Health |
Numpad 2 | Infinite Armor |
Numpad 3 | Infinite Ammo |
Numpad 4 | No Reload |
Numpad 5 | Infinite Grenades, Medicae Stims, and Unlimited Skill Duration |
Numpad 6 | Fast Kills (Also effects companions) |
Numpad 7 | Set Game Speed (Custom values can be input) |
How to disable Space Marine 2 cheats to play online
In order to revert your Space Marine 2 back to before you bypassed the Easy Anti Cheat, you'll need to once again open or navigate to your installation for Space Marine 2, via the method discussed earlier. You'll then need to delete 'start_protected_game', and then verify the integrity of your game files.
You can do this on Steam by right-clicking Space Marine 2 in your library, selecting 'Properties...', clicking 'Installed Files', and then hitting the 'Verify Integrity of game files' button.
On the Epic Games Launcher, you can do this by clicking the '...' on the game tile, hitting 'Manage', and then clicking the 'Verify' button at the very top of the window.
Once this process is complete, launch your game again, and confirm that the Easy Anti Cheat launch splash shows up before the game boots. If not, try this process again, and if it's not working, completely uninstall the game and re-install it to be absolutely certain.
