Wordle is a popular game that challenges people to play a literary version of the classic Mastermind games. In it, you must guess a five-letter word within six guesses by using letters from previous guesses as your clues.

This daily Wordle is the official daily Wordle puzzle created by developer Josh Wardle. It changes the word every day at 12am CST. We'll be updating this article every day around the same time with the answer to the current day's Wordle.

How to Play

For those who are confused on how to play, here is a basic rundown of the instructions:

  1. Guess a word by entering it on your keypad, then hitting Enter.
  2. The game will show you which letters you guessed are green and which ones are yellow. Yellow means you matched one letter in the Wordle, but it's in the wrong place. Green means you matched the letter and placement of one letter in the Wordle. Letters that keep the black background are not in the daily Wordle.
  3. Make your next guess a word that matches the correct letters of your previous word.
  4. If you get all the correct letters, you will eventually get all correct letters and placements, and you'll have solved the Daily Wordle!

That's all you need to know about the Daily Wordle puzzle!

  1. Typo. 8/6 is not game 412. It’s game 413

    1. Nice catch! I’ve fixed the list.

  2. 07/07 – #392: AGAPE
    07/06 – #382: FLUFF

You jumped your list numbers by 10. Today, July 24 is #400!

  3. June 8th awnser is trait

  4. In “Today’s Wordle Answer – All Wordle Answers in 2022 By: Nicholas Fries”,
your numbers from 04/28 – #314 onward are all off by 1; you missed #313.
    So, “04/28 – #314: ZESTY” should be “04/28 – #313: ZESTY”, etc.
    Thanks

    1. Thank you! Fixed!

  5. What was 316?

  6. What was the answer for 4-21-2022?

  7. No update since April 7 and today is April 1-. I hope you’re ok and not under the weather!!

    1. All good! We’re currently working out a way to keep this updated on the weekends. Have a great day!

  8. My wordle today was harry but my friends all had stove. What is that about?

  9. You have the incorrect solution to:
    03/26 – #280: EPOCH
    It should be: EPOXY

    1. It was EPOCH on mine too

    2. Whoops! My mistake. I’ve updated the guide. Thanks so much for noticing!

  10. It’s Sunday, 3/27, 2:37 p.m. Where is yesterday’s answer?

    1. Updated, apologies for the delay!

  11. Today’s answer, March 24,2022, was not ” slice”, it was chest.

  12. Why include the spoiler word? Why not just print the list without including the active word so we can check to see if a guess we’re thinking of has already been used. If we forget to “click here” the game is ruined. Why would we even need to know the active word?

    1. Most people come here to view the active word, since the page is updated daily. But the plus side is that we have set it up so it only reveals today’s word if you purposefully clink the link to reveal it!

  13. Playing game helps this 72-year-young lady challenge her senior mind.Thank you!

  14. in march you kept on repeating words

    1. Whoops! Thanks for noticing that. Editing error 😉

  15. Hi Guys. 2 questions: Does Wordle ever repeat answers? (So is it worthwhile keeping a record) And can they please not have American spelling?!

    1. Hello. Unfortunately, we have no associating with the development of the game, so we can’t control the spelling. I’m not sure if they will have repeat answers in the future. But as far as I remember, I haven’t seen any so far.

  16. Please do not include the solution for the current day.

    1. Hello! Most people come here for the solution of the day since it’s updated every day. However, to help our readers who don’t want to see today’s solution, we have added a link above the section for “Today’s Wordle” that takes you directly to the previous answers.

      1. Put todays solution at the bottom, with a button to scroll to it.

        Problem solved!

        1. Just don’t look at this site until you solved….problem solved

  17. As much as it’s good for business, can sites such as yours wait until midnight before revealing the day’s solve?

    1. Why? If you don’t want to know don’t google it.

  18. Word for 02/03/2022 was NASTY. You’ve missed it, so explains mismatch I noted earlier.

  19. There is a mismatch between dates/game numbers on Wordle and this list. Today: 03 03 2022 Wordle 257 is MOURN not 02 03 2022 256 as listed here..

    1. Whoops! Fixed, thanks for noticing.

      1. Second message re “nasty” sent before I saw this reply. sorry!

  20. I have just lost my 40 wins streak from my times. Is there any way I can replay the words on the list for 2022

  21. Hello! I’m assuming wordle’s 1-195 were from last year? Was just curious how the year began with 196.
    Thanks!

    1. Yes, Wordle began last year. This post includes all Wordle answers from 2022.

      1. Do you have a list of the words used in 2021?

        1. We don’t, no. I’ll see if we can get that information up, though.

          1. That would be great.

  22. Your numbering is off: #242 is listed twice.

    1. Thanks for catching that!

  23. What happens if letter is in word more than once?

  24. The blog says updated on 12th February but the answer for 12th February isn’t there

  25. The word is NOT Ulcer but Ultra for 2/12/22

  26. #236 is dated 02/09 and should be 02/10

  27. This is a little unfair since we at the other side of the world can see tomorrows word in advance! It takes the fun out of the game. Maybe you should post the words two days after they are played?

    1. The Wordle restarts at the same time for everyone regardless of the time zone, I believe. EDIT: Just checked this, and it does appear that it resets earlier for our people further East. However, we do have a link above “Today’s Word” that lets you skip to the list of previous wordle answers that have already been out for at least 24 hours. If you’d like to avoid spoiling the wordle of the day, be sure to click that link!

      1. This kind of answers my recent comment about revealing too soon. I’ll look for that link!

      2. I think it resets at 12 midnight local time. We in Sydney, Australia, get the new word at midnight many hours before the USA

  28. Todays word was listed as yesterdays word (2/9 says it’s PAUSE but that’s 2/10s word) so I got spoiled 😩 just a heads up

    1. So sorry about that! We’ll avoid that in the future.

  29. I would like to go back and see what I did on previous Wordle games but I can’t figure out where to go. I don’t want to replay, just see the words I used to arrive at the solution.

    1. Go to Wordle archive. Create a free account & it stores all the games with your score- click on each day, it gives you option of seeing your words and/or score.

    2. After looking into this, I don’t think it’s possible to go back to previous entries that you’ve done to see what your guesses were. I know that you don’t want to replay them, but that is unfortunately the closest you’ll get to what you’re looking for. Sorry!

      1. You can use metzger.media to catalog all of the Wordle puzzles. Create a free account which gives you an option to view your games played (including your words guessed) & score.

  30. I did not realize that some letters are used more than once in the wordle puzzles.
