What is Sweardle? – A Profane Wordle Game

The perfect place to try out your favorite swear words!

If you have found yourself playing the globally popular word game Wordle but have found it to be a bit bland, look no further than Sweardle. This dirty-word game is the perfect daily way to goof off with some childish humor.

What is Sweardle? - About the Game

Sweardle is a profane word-guessing game inspired by the game Wordle that was created in 2021 by Josh Wardle. Made in 2022 by an anonymous creator who wanted a parody of Wordle, the game has steadily risen in popularity. Players are challenged to try a litany of four-letter swear words, with the puzzle refreshing daily to a new word.

How to Play Sweardle

Sweardle is played very similarly to Wordle. Every day, a player will visit the site and be met with a blank grid of squares. From there, the player will need to guess a word to get started. Unlike Wordle, which has five-letter words and six guesses, Sweardle does four-letter words with four guesses, making it a bit more simple and straightforward. Just like with Wordle, yellow tiles mean the right letter in the wrong place, and green tiles mean the correct letter in the correct place. Only profane words are accepted.
