What is Weddle? An NFL Wordle Game

Time to test your roster knowledge!

Wordle players may find that the random words refreshed daily can get kind of boring. Playing something new like Weddle that appeals to specific interests may be the key to having some quick daily fun.

What is Weddle?

Weddle is a game that was created in 2022 and inspired by Wordle, a word-guessing game created in 2021 by Josh Wardle. In Weddle, instead of guessing a mystery word every day, players are challenged to guess which NFL player is the mystery player. The game narrows down the options to NFL players available for fantasy football rosters.

In Weddle, the player types in the name of an NFL athlete. There are eight chances in each game, giving players many opportunities to get closer to the correct answer. The Weddle board resets daily. Green tiles mean that the player has the right answer in the right column. In the height and age columns, yellow tiles mean the player is within two units of the correct answer (within two inches, years, etc.). Yellow tiles in the division category mean that it is the right conference but not the correct division.
