Even though five-star characters are the stars of the show in Wuthering Waves, you shouldn't overlook the gleam of the four-star ones, as some are quite potent. Here are the best four-star characters you should use in Wuthering Waves.
Strongest 4-star characters in Wuthering Waves
While there are a couple of duds, most of the 4-star characters in Wuthering Waves are actually quite comparable to five stars. Stats aside, four-stars often have just as unique gameplay mechanics as their 5-star brethren, but the ones listed here are the special cases you should be aware of.
You may want to consider playing the following characters if you don't have access to any 5* stars as of yet or need more strong characters to build.
Danjin
If you've been following Wuthering Waves before its official release, then you probably heard about how Danjin was a DPS machine in the beta character in the game. Well, for release, she received little to no changes, so she remains one at the top of the pack and thus worth building. She is difficult to play well, however, as her extreme DPS comes at the cost of her health. You'll be constantly living life on the edge if you intend to play her effectively.
You can obtain Danjin by pulling her from any of the current banners. She is currently rated up on Jiyan's banner for a higher chance.
Mortefi
If you're looking to fill the screen with conjured fireballs, then Mortefi is the pick for you. His glorious blaze comes with the added bonus of being an exceptionally strong sub-DPS to pretty much all of the main DPS characters in the game. He is no slouch himself at dishing out burst damage.
He can be obtained by pulling form any of the current banners. He is on Jiyan's banner currently, giving you a higher-than-normal chance of obtaining him, should you pull on it.
Sanhau
The queen of burst damage, Sanhau is a very strong four-star character that compliments any team with her extremely fast Concerto rotation and extreme burst damage. She enables fast swaps without any investment, but if you do decide to invest in her, know that there aren't many who can dish out as much damage as she can within a single second. I've progressed quite a bit in the Tower of Adversity, and she has been a big help as a strong sub-dps.
You can obtain Sanhau by pulling on any of the current banners. You can also obtain a copy of her just by logging into Wuthering Waves for five days.
Chixia
Even though Sanhau does more burst damage than Chixia, she has one of the strongest Ultimate abilities in the game, with a multiplier so high it often deletes full encounters without needing to use other abilities. When the going gets tough, and everything is not dead at round one, Chixia is fully capable of hanging with the rest on this list through her extremely consistent and reliable ranged DPS.
You can obtain Chixia through the main story, but she is also available on any of the current banners, including Jiyan. Specifically, she is rated up there, so you have a higher chance of pulling her from it.
Baizhu
If you haven't obtained Verina from the standard banner, then know that Baizhi will absolutely serve you well as a healing alternative. She is more than capable of sustaining your team and providing enough damage buffs to make sure it can kill whatever needs killing. Despite being a starter freebie, she is well worth investing in if you are planning to run with a healer.
Baizhu is obtained by playing the main story, but you always have a chance to obtain additional copies of her by pulling on any of the current banners. She also might be featured on a rate-up banner in the future, so keep an eye out if you're interested in playing her more.
