Flaws and all, Wuthering Waves is topping download charts around the world

Hip, hip, hooray!

It's time to bring out the champagne because Wuthering Waves has climbed to the number-one spot for downloads in more than 100 regions. The fans are also overjoyed with the game's success and with the lovely art we received in celebration.

I love the joy on everyone's face, but especially on Yinlin's, an upcoming character to whom I am very much looking forward. I'm wondering if we are going to get some cool in-game rewards to celebrate the occasion (I never miss an opportunity for free things).

Previously, Wuthering Waves also smashed its pre-launch goals despite many doubts. They managed to get 30 million pre-registrations, fulfill all reward milestones for fans (which I was extra happy about), and put all of the doubts to bed. I can only imagine the joy the developers at Kuro Games are feeling right now, knowing that so many people across the world are sitting down and playing their game.

While they have been on an upward climb, many issues that have plagued the game since launch leave a bitter aftertaste of that champagne for fans. Some of the worst problems have included a non-optimized game, leaving fans struggling to run the game (even though I had some issues on my monster PC at first), unskippable cutscenes, and a relatively slow story at the start.

However, what I find extremely admirable about Kuro Games is that they have been actively working on bettering Wuthering Waves and are committed to making it a fun experience for everyone. There are many updates in the future of this gacha game, which will hopefully help keep the current player base and even increase it.
