Who exactly is this man in red and why does he insist on calling us a black sheep?

Wuthering Waves is making a serious impact on the gacha scene, especially for its vibrantly diverse roster of characters on both sides of the battlefield. Scar Lore in Wuthering Waves

Scar is first introduced to the Rover (whether you choose male or female) in the early hours of Wuthering Waves. His personality is unabashedly brazen and outspoken, and he's dressed in a bright red outfit during the first fateful meeting. He embraces his reputation as a "cruel and twisted maniac," but for the sake of his first meeting with the player, he keeps his cool, with other intentions in mind.

As the conversation plays out, we discover that Scar is a member of the Fractsidus, a mysterious organization whose purpose is to usher humanity's next stage of evolution by having them absorb the Tacet Discords and undergo brutal transformations. The Lament, generally perceived as a devastating apocalyptic event, is viewed by Scar and the Fractsidus as a "self-regulating system of evolution", and a golden opportunity for humanity to be reborn and start anew, though more powerful.

In an attempt to recruit the Rover, Scar uses a metaphorical story about a shepherd and their flock of lambs to describe humanity's fate and how he and the Rover are the rebellious "black lambs" destined to alter that fate. Even though the Rover rebuffs his attempts to indoctrinate, Scar remains dedicated to following them on their journey, with an ulterior motive planned that involves something known as the Threnodian.

While Scar is encountered frequently enough throughout the story, his character is not currently playable in Wuthering Waves. As disappointing as that may be, hints within his overall character design suggest that he could definitely be playable in the future, regardless of his being a villain. His significant popularity within the Wuthering Waves community alone could see him land on the roster of playable characters. Until then, he will have to remain solely as one of the game's most entertaining antagonists.
