Wuthering Waves: How to destroy the giant rock in Corroded Ruins

They were so close too.

Wuthering Waves is an action, open-world RPG by Kuro Games. The game really commits to the “open-world” aspect, with tons of areas to explore and secrets to uncover. One is this giant rock wall in Corroded Ruins. Here’s how to destroy it (because it can).

How to break the giant rock wall with writing in Wuthering Waves

The key to breaking the giant rock in Corroded Ruins is this torn diary (7) note nearby. Specifically the following parts:

  • “The rock wall here seems thinner”
  • “If we tried to dig together, we might find a way out”

In short, the rock can be hacked. Grab a character who uses a broadblade weapon, run toward the wall, and slash. Doing so will reveal a shortcut to Remnant Residence in Wuming Bay and an area with a chest in it.

You can also try this with a sword resonator, though it didn’t work for me. It could be a bug or the fact that I didn’t charge into the wall. Rover just climbs it when they get near.

It’s unfortunate for the man and their companion, though—after all, they were almost out of the ruins. You’ll find a lot of small stories like this in Wuthering Waves, so try not to skip all the flavor texts you see, even if Kuro gives you the option.
