The Sensor module is one of the Utilities you get from Sanhua at the City Hall. It is used to reveal valuable content like collectibles, enemy weaknesses, etc. It's best to learn how to use it quickly so that you can effectively take care of quests.

You can switch between your Utilities with the Utilities wheel. On the keyboard is the TAB button, while on the controller, it is left on the D-Pad. Once you have it selected, use the Utility button to activate it and look around.

You'll see the holographic images of the patrol route. Keep going, and more and more holographic images will be revealed. You don't have to activate the sensor again; only once is necessary. The sensor will lead you to the first Detection Beacon, which is in the middle of being stolen by civilians.
