To get a good match rating, make your match as dramatic as you can. Allow your opponent to retaliate, show your resilience, taunt your opponents, and choose the most exciting settings for your matches. Also, use your best signature moves and Super Finishers to make crowd excited. Make it look like a good movie fight, and you'll get a 5-star rating.

After every match in Universe Mode players will get a star rating depending on their performance against their opponents. More stars you get, more VC and Store Tokens will you receive after the match. With VC and Tokens you can unlock purchasable goods in game, including wrestlers, outfits, and super finishers. However, unlike fighting simulations, if you finish the match quickly, you won't get a good rating.

In the usual combat sport match, both contestants are trying to finish their opponent as quickly as possible. The wrestling community frowns upon that, and they call that kind of a contest a Squash Match. There is one core principle in which the Universe Mode rating system works: more drama equals more stars. Much alike modern gladiators, the crucial factor of a good match is not the skill (though it's important), but keeping the crowd entertained.

WWE 2K24 Universe Mode - How to earn 5-star rating

First thing, forget about your ego; allow your opponent a chance to retaliate. If the match is too one-sided the audience won't find it entertaining, and it might even happen they will root for your opponent, despite you overwhelm him with your skill. Don't be afraid to take damage, to be on your back foot, you can even let your opponent pin you (but don't forget to kick out).

Your match should look like a movie fight, with a lot of initiative shift, power struggle, and dramatic twists and turns. The more your match looks harder, you'll get more XP, and bigger ratings. Also, don't forget to use a variety of moves, including signature moves Super Finishers, because those win over the crowd big time.
