Xbox Live Gold subscribers receive several substantial benefits for purchasing an online subscription, one of those being a monthly array of free games to add to their library. Here are the titles that start the new year for Microsoft's players.

We've listed the free games for Jan. 2022 below, along with the dates that each game is available.

• Aground (Available Jan. 16 to Feb. 15)
• Radiant Silvergun (Available Jan. 1 to Jan. 15)

To add these games to your library, head to the Xbox Live Gold tab in the Xbox Companion App or on your Xbox Console. Here, you'll find a card labeled 'Games with Gold.' You'll be able to grab these free games as long as your subscribed to Xbox Live Gold, and the current subscription plans are listed below:

• 3 Months: $24.99
• 6 Months: $39.99
• 12 Months: $59.99

Those interested in getting more bang for their buck might want to try Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a service that grants access to the monthly free games and over 100 titles across Xbox, PC, and mobile devices for no upfront cost. These games include Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2, and Forza Horizon 5. Users can purchase Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the following prices:

• 1 Month: $14.99
• 3 Months: $44.99
