Xbox adds exciting new feature that reveals secret achievement details on consoles

Atlas.

Xbox Insider Program Lead Brad Rossetti shared an exciting new feature that will be coming onto Xbox consoles. This new feature will allow players to keep secret achievements hidden or not. There will also be an achievement tracker to inform players how close they are to unlocking specific achievements. These new achievement features are available to preview members on Xbox consoles, but they will presumably come to all Xbox users as well as PC and mobile at some point in the future.

Achievements are usually listed out with the details on how to unlock them under the Achievements option on the Xbox hub. For games with a large selection of achievements to unlock, there will be some secret achievements. These secret achievements will not give any details on how to unlock them.

The only way players can unlock secret achievements is by playing the game and hoping they end up doing something that will unlock them. Play a game for enough hours and you're bound to do everything the game has to offer. Some players like the extra challenge, but for the more casual achievement hunters, it can be a bigger investment than they want. This new feature will finally allow players to see secret achievements while not removing the option to keep them hidden for the more hardcore gamers.
