Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is the latest digital version of the TCG, and fans have eagerly awaited it. With a massive roster of cards, cross play, cross progression, and more, it is shaping up to be an excellent addition to the series. But unfortunately, there is an error that is plaguing some users.
This is the this account has pre-existing date error in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The error occurs when attempting to transfer data across multiple platforms. If you receive this error, you will not be able to create new game data. If you try to delete the data on that platform, you will not be able to play on that platform. There is no fix for this error, but there are ways to prevent it.

How to Prevent the this account has pre-existing data error
Once you have created data on a platform, you will want to start up Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on another platform. Do not hit any keys or press any buttons on the title screen once you open the game. Instead, press the hamburger, or three lines in the box, at the bottom right of the screen. If on Steam, wait for the overlay message to disappear.
This opens up another menu. Select the data transfer and transfer your data. If you do this correctly, you should be all set and not receive the error. If you press any button, hit a key at the title screen, or play through the tutorial, you will likely receive the this account has pre-existing data error.
