All Gerudo Orb Locations in TOTK – Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

So many side quests within this side quests.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is full of fetch quests, and one of the biggest ones is the Mysterious Eighth. While learning more about the Gerudo Heroines is always fun, Link has to complete these quests by finding seven individual orbs. These orbs are literally found in every nook and cranny in Gerudo Town, with one of the orbs outside the city limits.

How to complete the seven Gerudo Orbs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To begin this quest in Tears of the Kingdom, players need to talk to Rotana in the Gerudo Shelter. She won't give the Mysterious Eighth Quest if the player hasn't completed the Stelae quest beforehand, though. Once that is taken are of, Rotana will relocate to the room with the seven statue replicas in the Gerudo Shelter (coordinates: -3833, -2972, 0031)

The objective behind this quest is to grab seven orbs in the Gerudo Town area and place each orb in the hands of the corresponding heroine. Each orb has a sign that it shares with one of the heroines.

The first one is the easiest to find: the orb rest beneath the Stelae that Rotana was studying in the lobby of the Gerudo Shelter (coordinates: -3887, -2971, 0033).

By staying inside the Gerudo Shelter, players can also get another orb by heading to the leisure room (with all the bottles around everywhere). The orb will be found among other bottles on the side table (coordinates: -3905, -2917, 0030).

A third orb can be found in the Gerudo Shelter in the bedroom. Players need to head up to the second level (coordinates: -3923, -2936, 0035) and then turn their camera to the opposite side of the room. A green orb will be hidden behind some decorations on a shelf there.

After these orbs are found, it's time to head back into Gerudo Town proper. All of the remaining orbs can be found outside.

Players can find an easy orb at the eastern entrance to Gerudo Town on the right, where the Sand Seals are for sale. The orb will be in a little nook next to some Gerudo weapons (coordinates: -3783, -2899, 0046).

The rest of the orbs are each going to take a little more effort to grab. There is an orb on the left side of the eastern entrance to Gerudo Town as well (coordinates: -3810, -2876, 0043), but this one has a little girl next to it.

When Link grabs the orb, the little girl will claim that the orb is hers, but she will give up the orb if Link can beat her in a game.

The game is basically hide and seek with the girl's sand seal doll. She will bring Link into the Gerudo Shelter and give him 1.5 minutes to find where she has hidden the doll. Fortunately, while Link is closing his eyes, the girl will always give a clue to the doll's location.

This clue might be different for different players. Her location will also change after multiple attempts. Even I couldn't find the sand seal doll on my first try, but on the second she literally said "Link will never think to look by the bed." That certainly narrowed down my search.

Another orb can be found on top of the border around Gerudo Town. Head to the southern gate area and climb to the top of the border (where the aqueduct is rushing water). Nearby, on the rocky area, will be a sand mound (coordinates: -3799, -2973, 0059). Use a fan or Korok Frond fused with a weapon to blow away the sand, revealing the orb beneath.

The final orb will take the longest to grab. In fact, it's not even in Gerudo Town; it's in Kara Kara Bazaar. Head over to the Bazaar, and players should find the orb right in front of the large shop (coordinates: -3273, -2580, 0023).

This orb also has a side quest with it, though. The two travelers in front of the orb won't give the orb up unless Link finds their third member. This missing traveler, named Porthos (Three Musketeers reference?) got lost outside the west gate of Kara Kara Bazaar, but their rule is to always wait by a big landmark if they are lost.

If players look outside the west gate of Kara Kara Bazaar they should find a huge Zonai platform (coordinates: -3336, -2675, 0005) Right underneath will be a campfire, which just about ensures that the missing traveler went by here.

Go inside the quicksand that is next to the campfire and the missing traveler will be below. He doesn't have a way to get out, but Link can use a Bomb Arrow to clear the rubble blocking his way.

After getting rid of the rubble, the traveler will automatically go back to Kara Kara Bazaar, so player can just return to the original spot. The other travelers will finally give up the orb so Link can take it back to the Gerudo Shelter.

How to complete the Mysterious Eighth Quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Even after collecting all the orbs and returning them, players are not done with this quest. Placing the seven orbs on the corresponding Heroine statues just opens up the door to the eighth orb (hence the name of the quest). That means players will have to haul that thing all the way to the Gerudo Sanctuary to find the eighth Heroine statue.

Gerudo Sanctuary is found beneath the North Gerudo Ruins (where Riju was practicing to fight the Queen Gibdo). Bring the orb there, clear out the enemies and look for the huge hole in the ground (coordinates: -3768, -2422, 0034)

Drop the orb into the hole and follow after it. The orb should fall into a switch that opens up a hallway. Heading in that direction will lead to the room that holds the Statue of the Eighth Heroine.

This is a great area to loot, as there are some great Gerudo Weapons along with a Ruby, Topaz, and Sapphire. After collecting everything here, though, players need to return to Rotana to finish the quest.
