The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings has a ton of new features. One is the addition of Fuse power, which changed my approach to combat in this game. It is a unique and powerful tool in Link's arsenal, and I had high expectations for it from the first time I saw it in a trailer. The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Fuse power, explained
Fuse power is a newly introduced ability with which you can craft new weapons and combine objects as a part of Tears of the Kingdom's crafting system. I found it almost overwhelming to be able to craft nearly anything from the world when I saw that Link could Fuse practically any object in the world. You can generally combine the following:
- A weapon with another weapon: such a combination will create a more powerful weapon variant. For example, when I upgraded a stick by Fusing it with another stick, I made a stick with a more extended range.
- A weapon with an object: I gained additional benefits when fusing a weapon with certain objects, like bonus attack power when fusing a stick to a rock.
- An item with a Device: upgrading items with certain devices enhanced their functionality, like adding additional propulsion to Zonai Wings.
How to use Fuse power in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Fusing objects in Tears of the Kingdom is simple, just follow the steps below:
- While having an object or a weapon equipped, hold R.
- Select Fuse.
- Hover over the item you want to fuse with.
- Press the Y Button to create a new fusion of objects.
