You won’t be able, or need to, sell your gear while you’re escaping from Daeg Marastir at the start of Zoria: Age of Shattering. However, once you enter the Forest of Nurdundas you will get the opportunity to sell your gear. However, it is easy to miss out on the chance.

You’ll begin the new zone at a camp. If you press the tab key, you’ll notice some Firewood next to it. Interact with the firewood and when asked, choose the option that dreads, Stoke the fire so that it doesn’t go out in your absence and you can find your way back. When you do so, the fire will rear up a little.

Wait at the camp for a few moments and an NPC Trader will appear and speak to you. They’ll explain they’d been scared by goblins but were attracted by your fire. This will then open up the opportunity to trade with them, as well as to be able to repair your gear (for coins). If you choose to let the fire go out, the trader will not appear

You can then freely explore the rest of the Forest of Nurdundas and return here at any point to trade or get repairs with the trader.
