Go to the right side of your laboratory and use the Build Armory button to unlock vests and weapons in Zombie War Tycoon. Vests can increase your HP, while better weapons will help you kill zombies quickly to earn more cash.
It takes a few minutes, but the guards will respawn in Zombie War Tycoon.
