Shotguns are the best weapons in the current meta of 100 Waves Later. High damage, pierce, and spread allow you to clear mobs easily and handle bosses as well.
Pistols are considered the weakest weapon in 100 Waves Later. However, you can make them better by using the Sharpshooter class and picking up Fire Rate, Pierce, and Gun Damage skills after clearing a wave.
The Greatsword is currently the best melee weapon in the game. Chainsaw is also good, but it was recently nerfed. Melee Damage and Swing Speed skills can make these two even stronger. Make sure you also pick up some Movement Speed buffs to easily carry around these heavy melee weapons.
