How to get Fragments in Scoria Reach

Before reaching the actual location, you must secure the three Fragments(Sulfur, Infernal & Obsidian) to place them in their respective pillar. For this, you need to collect a lot of Obsidian, Ashy Pearl, Sulfur, and Igneous Pearl, which are obtained as an additional drop while fishing for Lava Clams. Go towards the exclusive Pool at (-5102, 162, -1177), visible using the Fish Radar opposite the Ashbrook Town. Here, keep fishing until you get a lot of the mentioned pearls.

Once you have that, enter the Scoria Reach Mines using the elevator at the GPS (-4972, 145, -1577). Now, you will find a lot of Crab Miners roaming around the area. Give your pearls to these Crab Miners and start mining from the mineral ores around the cave. After five minutes, you can interact with the Crab Miners to get random rewards, including the type of Fragment associated with your pearls. So, if you give a lot of Igneous Pearl, you have a higher chance of getting Infernal Fragments. Not always, but higher.
