In my opinion, the best and easiest way to earn Moola is to fish and then sell your catch at the Tackle Bait shop (the fishing vendor). Fishing is quite easy, it’s very safe (just fish at the dock and chill with other players), and it pays well (common fish sell for 25 to 45 moola). It’s definitely not something that will make you rich overnight, but it’s a steady income that ensures you always have some money without risking your progress (or dying in the process).

Quest Farming

Aside from fishing, there are two other repeatable sources of income in Bridger Western. You can complete the Can Quest as often as you like, but it requires a bit more skill compared to fishing. The Can Quest is located just outside the main central town. Keep in mind, though, that this is a high-risk, high-reward method, as you’ll need to be confident in your skills if you don’t want to lose money instead of earning it.

This quest tasks you with shooting a can thrown by the NPC Flint a specific number of times before it hits the ground, as indicated in the dialogue. Failing the challenge will cost you 100 moola, and there is a 75-95 second cooldown between attempts (except after the final one). You'll earn +100 moola +30 EXP each completion, meaning you can bank 300 moola in one round, if you're successful.

Another quest that can serve as a steady source of income is the Red Corner fight club mini-game. Here, you can fight other players by betting money in a winner-takes-all format. Again, this is a risky endeavor; while you can earn money, you can also lose it, making it a double-edged sword. Red Corner is one of the spawning locations for Outlaw players, located south of the Outlaw camp.

NPC Ambushes

As soon as you leave safe zones (spawn locations), you’ll enter no man’s land, where you can expect to be attacked by various NPC enemies, such as zombies and thugs. Defeating these enemies will reward you with both money and a chest containing additional loot. This is another solid way to earn money and XP. Just make sure not to waste more ammo than necessary if you want to stay net positive, balancing your earnings against the cost of restocking.

PvP Encounter

Finally, if you’re ready to make some enemies, you can simply take down other players outside safe zones, which will also earn you money and XP. Anyone outside spawn locations is a valid target. Bridger Western fully embraces its PvP aspect without any real restrictions - there are no special PvP servers or rules. As soon as you see another player, you’re free to shoot at them. Just make sure your draw is quicker than theirs.
