If you're a fan of magic and have dreamt of being a real alchemist, then you should definitely give Wizard Alchemy a try! From brewing potions to defeating monsters with spells, this game demands a lot of exploration and collecting materials if you want to be the best. This Beginner's Guide will cover the basics and give you valuable insights, tips, and tricks for becoming super strong in no time.
How to Farm Gold in Wizard Alchemy
The best ways to farm gold in Wizard Alchemy are by completing quests and defeating monsters. The difficulty of your opponents dictates how much gold you earn. Keep in mind that it's extremely important to collect a lot of currency, because this helps you upgrade most of your stats. Without the upgrades, you're weak, and you'll be stuck battling the most basic enemies for a while. Here is how to earn gold in the game:
- Quests from the Harryint NPC - This NPC is located on the right side of the spawn location, next to the Wanted board. There are multiple quests you can accept, each one harder than the last. Once you complete a quest, you're rewarded with both gold and materials you can later use to brew potions. My suggestion is to start with the easiest one, The Bully of the Forest I, and repeat it until you have enough resources to power yourself up.
- Farming Monsters - As previously mentioned, the stronger the difficulty, the better the gold. Don't expect much, though, because the main point is to farm as many monsters as possible to collect a sum. For example, one Pick Axe Dwarf gives you 5 gold, while the Knife Goblin rewards you with 7 gold.
- NPC Quests - During world exploration, you will stumble upon multiple different NPCs that offer quests. Make sure you don't skip them, because some are super easy to complete and offer at least 500 gold. An effortless one for beginners is the Fugitive Orc sitting below a tree next to the Warhammer Dwarf, which you will find if you just run straight ahead in the forest from the spawn point. The task itself is to feed him 10 berries, and you can collect them by attaching random bushes all around.
How to Brew Potions in Wizard Alchemy
To brew potions in Wizard Alchemy, simply turn around from the spawn point and go to the Alchemy table. A new menu pops up, and this is where you use all the materials you have in your inventory to craft. An overview of all the items in your Material Bag is on the bottom right, and you can select up to 5 ingredients to craft into a potion that's going to give you a magic spell. With each thing you select, you're shown which potions you have a chance of brewing and the percentage of how likely it is for you to get one of them. Once you are happy with your selection, the next step is completing a quick, fast click mini-game to ensure your potion level is 100% pure.
Brewing potions is one of the most important aspects of the game because they give you spells you later use for fighting enemies and completing quests. You can get both offensive and defensive potions that have specific stats you'll have to adjust based on your gameplay, element, and race you decide to pick.
How to Upgrade Potions in Wizard Alchemy

To upgrade your spells, simply go to the Refine machine next to the Alchemy table. The first step to do this is to have 3 identical potion bottles that you can select to upgrade them to level S. You can also try your luck if you have less than that, but keep in mind that the success rate is lower, so you lose what you selected. Some of us learned this the hard way. However, if you do this properly, your ability improves, which makes your gameplay much more rewarding.
How to Upgrade Stats in Wizard Alchemy
Apart from the obvious Stat option at the top left of the screen, you can also increase your abilities by purchasing items that give you a variety of attributes: from Attack damage and HP to Cooling Reductions and Movement Speed. So without further ado, let's break it down.
- Wizard Hat in the Equipment Shop - you can choose between the Starmoon Hat that gives you +20HP, and Golden Reverie or Starlight Hats that both give +40HP. The only difference between the two is which aesthetic you prefer.
- Wizard Wand in the Equipment Shop - Wingbird Wand gives you +20 Attack and +5% Attack Boost, Azure Wand gives you +25 Attack and +10% Attack Boost, and the Demon Trident Wand gives you +30 Attack and +15% Attack Boost. It's a no-brainer that the better the item, the higher the cost.
- Wizard Robe in the Equipment Shop - Starmoon Robe gives you +30HP, Golden Reverie gives you +60HP, and the Starlight Robe also gives you +60HP.
- Stats - As previously mentioned, at the top left, there is a Stat icon, where you can further upgrade your skills. By defeating monsters and completing quests, you are given Level Points that you can invest in: Attack Damage, Health Points, Cooling Reduction, and Movement Speed Boost.
- Ascend - to do this, you have to reach a certain level and have enough gold to invest to ascend. Although it's not cheap, this step is worth investing in because it grants you: Attack Damage, Attack Boost, HP, Crit Rate, and Crit Damage.
- Race - Last but not least, you should definitely re-roll until you get the best possible Race. At the time of the game's release, there were 10 Races in total you could roll for. Keep in mind that you should not aim for rarity, keep an eye on specifications and boosts that best complement your gaming style.
