Swinging the axe in Axiom Verge 2

How to get the Axe on Mount Ebin at 22, 11 in Axiom Verge 2

AXE-iom Verge

In Axiom Verge 2, players are challenged to use clever methods of reaching some areas and obtaining specific objects. One of the objects that many players are having difficulty reaching early in the game is the axe at coordinates 22, 11. In the guide below, we explain how to access this axe.

The first thing you need to know is that you will need to have access to two abilities to get the axe: the Drone (Dama) ability and the Shockwave (Gud An-Na) ability. The Drone can be obtained at coordinates 24, 6, and the Shockwave can be obtained at coordinates 23, 20. When you have both of those, you can get the axe.

Getting the axe in Axiom Verge 2

Find your way to coordinates 23, 20. When you reach it, stand next to the two rectangular loose stones that are on either side of the axe and use your Shockwave ability. The stones will shake a bit and come loose, but they wont fall enough for you to get through. This is where the Drone helps.

Throw your drone (or transform into it, if you have that ability already) and jump through the small crevice that formed now that you knocked the stones loose. Your Drone will be able to fit through and walk right up to the axe. Press the primary interaction button to take the axe. You will now be able to wield it as your weapon in the options menu!

While it's not the strongest weapon in the game, it does significantly more damage than the pickaxe, and should take knock down the number of swings you need to make at an enemy. Congrats!
