Pokémon Go Reshiram Raid Guide: Best Counters and Weaknesses

He's a big one!

One of the featured Pokémon for the upcoming week's Raid Hour is Reshiram. During the Raid Hour, players worldwide will see an increase in the number of Tier 5 Raids, half of which will host Reshiram: the Vast White Pokémon!

Schedule

The Raid Hour is hosted every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm local time. Reshiram's Raid Hours will be hosted three times this month: Dec. 1, Dec. 8, and Dec. 15. Each Raid Hour will be between 6pm and 7pm local time. Being hosted local time means that no matter where you are in the world, the Raid Hour will start at exactly 6pm, and you don't have to adjust for time zones.

Raid Guide

Reshiram

  • Type: Dragon, Fire
  • Weak Against: Dragon, Ground, Rock
  • Strong Against: Fire, Grass, Bug, Electric, Steel
  • Notes
    • Normally, Fairy Pokémon are very effective against Dragon-types. However, Reshiram's second type, Fire, negates this weakness.
    • Dragon attacks deal heavy damage to Dragon Pokémon, so it is wise to use a Pokémon that can learn a Dragon attack but isn't a Dragon-type.
    • Ground and Rock Pokémon deal heavy damage to Reshiram and are resistant to it, so you'll want to focus on using these Pokémon.

Counters

Because Mega Pokémon are rarely used, we opted not to include them in the list of the best counters.
