How to get Presents in Roblox Islands?

As of Dec. 18, 2021, the long-awaited Christmas update is live in the popular sandbox-style experience, Islands! With this update comes a new Candy Cane crop, Snowman Pet, and even presents hand delivered from Santa himself. To find out how you can get your hands on these holiday gifts, continue reading below.

Presents from Santa

Upon spawning into this experience for the first time post-update, you'll be greeted by a festive stranger walking about your Island. Santa Clause has arrived to wish you Happy Holidays, and bring you your own massive Christmas tree! Speak to him to claim this gift.

After taking the Christmas tree off of his hands, Santa will finish the conversation by promising a delivery of gifts to your Island. Once you press the Thanks! prompt, Santa will disappear.

From then on, obtaining presents is nothing more than a waiting game. One time per in-game day, Santa will fly above your Island and drop off a single gift—the contents of these gifts are random, and all possibilities can be found in the list below.

• Five to six Ice - 32%
• One to two standard ornaments - 32%
• Five Snow - 20%
• Two to three more presents - 5%
• One to two candy cane seeds - 5%
• Christmas tree - 5%
• Snowman Pet Egg - 0.8%
• Frost Sword - 0.1%
• Frost Hammer - 0.1%

Before a present is dropped, you will be alerted to its arrival by the audible jingle of Santa's sleigh. After hearing this sound, it's time to explore your island for the blue, Christmas Present 2021! It will look like the one pictured below.

To open a present, aim your cursor over it, take out your pickaxe, and click and hold your left mouse button. After a few seconds the present will burst open and transform into a smaller present that you can hold in your hand. To open this one, simply click and hold the left mouse button once more.

Presents from mobs

Presents also have a very small chance of being dropped by the Snowman Mobs that can be found around the experience's Hub. Each time that you defeat one of these snowmen, there's a 5% chance that you will be awarded with a Christmas Present 2021.

Similar to the Halloween update, it's likely that these presents will be removed after the holiday season is over—so grab as many as you can while they're here!
