All buffs and changes to Crypto for Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance

Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance finally did it: Crypto got a buff! This has been asked for by players, especially Crypto mains, for a long time, so it’s exciting to finally see it materialize. Crypto has been the Legend with the lowest pick rate for a while. The developers hope this buff and rework will not make him too powerful but still more desirable to players at varying skill levels. Let’s take a look at all of Crypto’s major changes.

Surveillance Drone (Tactical) Changes

Crypto’s Drone is getting a major rework for his buff. These changes will not affect his ultimate.

Improved Heads-Up Display (HUD)

• [Buff ↑] Basic game-state information is now shown in Drone View
  • Minimap
  • Killfeed
  • Team Status
  • Ping information
• [Buff ↑] The health of the Drone itself is now visible to the right of Crypto’s health
• [Buff ↑] Survey Beacon markers appear in the Drone the same as they do outside of it

Other Drone Changes

• [Buff ↑] Drone Deployment has been improved

• [Buff ↑] If the Drone is thrown at a wall, it will turn to face away from the wall automatically
• [Nerf ↓] Drone health is now only 50 (formerly 60)
• [Change ↔] The HUD marking for the Drone has been improved
  • The marker itself has been updated and is now more visible
  • The marker will appear on-screen even when the Drone itself is deployed

Neurolink (Passive) Changes

• [Buff ↑] Neurolink Detection Field-of-View is now 240 (Previously 160)
• [Nerf ↓] Neurolink no longer works while the Drone is being recalled
