How the Hammerpoint Rounds Hop-Up works in Apex Legends

The Hammerpoint is designed to finish the job.

Apex Legends is full of ways to kit out your weapons, but the most unique of those ways is probably the Hop-Ups. Hop-Ups are special add-ons compatible with 1-3 weapons and give those weapons a new ability or functionality when equipped. While the Hammerpoint Rounds Hop-Up had been out of play from Season 9: Legacy through Season 11: Escape, it has returned for Season 12: Defiance. This time, though, it’s a little different. Let’s take a look.

Hammerpoint Rounds Functionality

The Hammerpoint Rounds Hop-Up gives weapons a damage multiplier if the target does not have any shields left. The multiplier begins with the first hit after a break, there is no multiplier on a shot that hits both shield and skin.
