What Gear Does
Gear in Mario Strikers augments how player characters perform on the field. Do you want a more offensive team player? Grab a gearset that prioritizes shooting over speed—looking for a strong tackler? Strength is your best bet. The Gear system allows players to cater their favorite characters to their playstyle, rather than being forced to pick a character that uses the stats they prefer. How to get Gear
Players can purchase Gear for the Heads, Arms, Bodies, and Legs of each character using Coins, the in-game currency for Mario Strikers Battle League. Head to the Gear Settings menu to spend the money you've accumulated by playing the game. You can see the impact each piece of Gear has on Mario and his friends when hovering over an item. Mix and match these Gear pieces to create your optimal Striker.
