Cube World to Finally Be Released – Coming to Steam!

The infamous vaporeware-esque game Cube World might finally be released in the near future! While we still haven't gotten an exact release date, we've gotten a Tweet from the creator Wollay that states it will hopefully be released at the end of September or October in 2019!

If you weren't around for the Cube World shenanigans that have gone on for a while, allow me to paste what I've written about it in the past:

Cube World is an infamous game title in the gaming world. It popped up as a kind of alternative to Minecraft around 6 or 7 years ago. It's a voxel based RPG adventure game that you could play with your friends. The hype for it got immense, and it was available for sale as an early access title by the husband and wife development team. The release was fraught with issues, but a ton of copies got sold in a short period of time. After about six months or so, the developer kind of went missing. We'd rarely get updates, but every now and then they'd peak their head out and release some screenshots of what they are working on.

The creator poked his head out again recently in July, and it looks like he's finally gotten enough done on the project that he's confident enough to announce its upcoming release. While that is great, we're still going to wait and see if the game sees the light of day, as we've been tricked before!
