Lama Ladonna, a fearsome axe-wielder, is an unlockable character in Vampire Survivors. Carrying the axe as his starting weapon, Lama benefits from +5% might and move speed every 10 levels.Â
To unlock Lama, you first need to head to the Power Up section of the main menu and scroll down to Curse. Curse increases the amount of enemy health, speed, quantity, and frequency by 10% per rank. Rank one costs 4665 gold.
Despite the name and effects, Curse is a highly beneficial power-up. Just think of it as XP coming to you faster, although it definitely raises the difficulty.
Once you have at least one rank in Curse and survive 20 minutes with any character, Lama will be unlocked. In addition to his might and move speed, Lama gains +5% Curse every 10 levels up to 20%. This makes Lama one of the most difficult characters to play, but Lama is also has the greatest potential for farming XP and kills.
Overall, Lama is a great character to quickly rush the Death Spiral, the Axe evolution. Once you’ve leveled the Axe to level eight and have the Candelabrador as a passive item, you can evolve it to the Death Spiral. Conveniently, the Death Spiral is very effective on runs with high levels of Curse.
