Steam Deck users are rushing to install Windows on their portable gaming devices after Valve released an update to support Windows OS. While the update is a great step for the community, it still has some drawbacks as the new patch does not support the operation of the Windows Operating System to its fullest potential. Due to this, many vital features like audio are not available to use by default on Windows. Still, you can access and play game audio on Steam Deck via other output connectivity ports like Bluetooth.
What type of audio output is not available?
The default audio via the speakers and headphone jack(3.5 mm) is not supported on the Windows OS.
Why is the audio not available?
Audio is not available due to the non-compatibility of Windows audio drivers with the Steam Deck. As of now, there is no quick fix for the problem, but there are alternative ways to get audio output.
