How to fix Pokémon Go Incense not working bug (2022)

I need the Incense to work.

In Pokémon Go, Incense provides players with more wild Pokémon encounters. This is extremely valuable during events, Community Days, or for players who don't live near a lot of PokéStops and gyms. Lately, fans have been experiencing issues with the Incense item and its Pokémon spawn rate. There are a few ways to fix this issue.

How to fix Incense on Apple iOS

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Navigate to the General tab
  3. Click on the Date & Time settings
  4. Turn the Set Automatically option to ON
  5. Reboot the Pokémon Go app and try the Incense again

How to fix Incense on Android

  1. Open the System menu
  2. Navigate to the Date & Time section
  3. Turn the Automatic Date & Time option to ON
  4. Turn the Autmoatic Timezones option to ON as well
  5. Reboot the Pokémon Go app and try the Incense again

In Pokémon Go, Incense allows players to encounter an increased number of Pokémon when the item is active. This number is normally one Pokémon encounter every five minutes, but that number was increased over the last few months due to the pandemic.

Incense occasionally receive event-specific versions that last longer or produce higher Pokémon yields. This can make situations even more frustrating if an Incense is used and does not work properly.
