Where to find all hidden Waddle Dees in Concrete Isles – Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Having trouble finding these friendly guys?

While playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, fans of the franchise might recognize the familiar characters known as Waddle Dees. Kirby is tasked with rescuing these creatures from their cages in this game. Most of the imprisoned Waddle Dees are obtained by completing each stage's set of missions, while some are simply found by finishing a stage. The tricky part is that some of these Waddle Dees are hidden, which adds a little more difficulty for completionists.

Hidden Waddle Dees can be sitting in plain sight, but the majority of them are locked inside secret rooms, require Mouthful Mode forms or Copy Abilities to access, or are simply off the beaten path. For a full explanation of how to find all four hidden Waddle Dees in the Concrete Isles, continue reading below.

How to get to each hidden Waddle Dee in Concrete Isles

Concrete Isles is the second stage on Everbay Coast. As the name suggests, this world is marked by its water-filled design. Since the level is pretty open with its traversable water, players must be sure to check out every explorable area to fully complete its set of missions. This includes the mission to rescue the four hidden Waddle Dees, who can be found at these spots:

This stage approaches hidden Waddle Dees differently, as three of them require players to locate gems before the creature appears. For the first Waddle Dee, players must find five green gems. The first green gem is found on the platform shown above.

Players will find the second and third green gems by traveling across a moving bridge. These two gems are relatively close to each other, with the first sitting on the lower part of the platform and the second sitting behind a bomb-like enemy on a raised platform.

The fourth green gem is situated between the next set of moving bridges. This may take some coordination, as it is easy to fall off the edge while attempting to jump towards the gem.

The fifth and final green gem is sitting on top of the raised part of the third platform sitting behind a bomb-throwing enemy.

After collecting all five green gems, a cage will lift to the surface of the water with the first hidden Waddle Dee sitting on top.

Similar to the first hidden Waddle Dee, the second will require Kirby to collect all five orange gems. These are tougher to find, though, as most of them are hidden in shining piles of dirt below the ground. To acquire these gems, Kirby will need to have the Drill Copy Ability equipped. This can be obtained by inhaling the drill-like enemy standing on the same platform as the first orange gem.

The second orange gem is located on the next sandy platform in a pile of dirt. Use the Drill Copy Ability on the dirt to retrieve this gem.

The third orange gem sits in another dirt pile on the tall platform to the right of the last one and requires players to avoid a spiked cylinder.

Players will find the fourth orange gem sitting in a pile of dirt to the left of the cannon shown above.

The fifth and last orange gem requires players to utilize the Scissor-Lift Mouthful Mode form and make their way over to an open ledge. Leap onto the ledge and use the Drill Copy Ability to acquire this gem.

Once Kirby has collected all five orange gems, the second hidden Waddle Dee will appear on another crate in the water below.

The third hidden Waddle Dee is not as technical as the first two but can be easily missed since players must travel into the open water on the far right of the area and cross a downed power line to reach an island that can be seen in the distance.

Upon reaching the island, the Waddle Dee is simply sitting on the beach.

Before retrieving the last two green gems, Kirby will need to drill into the star-shaped dirt on the ground near a set of cannons. A Warp Star will lift from the earth and transport Kirby to a platform to the upper left of the area.

The player will then be prompted with a drainage pipe to the left of this platform, which will allow Kirby to use the Pipe Mouthful Mode form. Build up some speed and zoom down the slope leading to a cracked wall. If going fast enough, the player will break some blocks along the way hiding the fourth green gem and destroying the wall with the fifth green gem inside.

The fourth and last hidden Waddle Dee is a short hop off the ledge and can be spotted in the now accessible room shown above.
