Apex Legends players recently faced a visual glitch that locks their FOV at 70 before entering any game mode. Respawn Entertainment informed on Twitter that this visual bug might occur after players complete The Williams Sendoff Story Event in the Firing Range. The last Chapter of this challenge takes players to the beach of Storm Point, and the FOV gets locked in settings from this scene.
To fix the FOV glitch locked at 70, players will need to restart Apex Legends after completing Bangalore's Warrior Sendoff Event. This will automatically revert the settings to the previous choice, and players will be able to move and shoot normally. While this trick has solved the visual glitch for most players, some may still face reduced FOV issues in-game.

Respawn Entertainment informed the community that the next week's patch update would have a fix for this FOV lock glitch. Players reported that this glitch is persistent in Arenas, Battle Royale, and the new Control mode as well. The FOV drops automatically in-game, and aiming down sight only makes it worse.
We recommend that players restart the game and change the settings manually if this FOV glitch persists. As stated by the developers, players can expect the fix for this FOV glitch to arrive by the next week.
