How space battles work in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga

Space Battles are tough.

Occasionally, you'll need to fight in Space battles in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. You are pretty much thrown into the thick of it and attacked while you learn the controls, so they are easy to forget.

Essentially, you're trying to kill as many enemy starfighters as you can. There will be a balance of power at the top of the screen that indicates how close you are to winning or losing. The side that loses all of its starships loses the battle.

You can enter a space battle by going to red circles in space where many starships are fighting each other. You can leave the battle by flying outside the zone, but you can get studs, a ship, or Kyber Blocks if you win.

Controls for Space Battles in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker SAGA

For those having difficulty, we have the controls below:

  • Press X (PS4/PS5) or A (Xbox) to go forward.
    • Double-tap X (PS4/PS5) or A (Xbox) for a boost.
  • Press L1 and R1 (PS4/PS5) or LB and RB (Xbox) at the same time when you're being locked onto by an enemy ship to avoid getting shot at.
  • Lock onto opponents by keeping them in the center of your screen for a few seconds.
    • Press Square (PS4/PS5) or X (Xbox) to fire a Proton Torpedo for an instant kill.
  • Hold L1 (PS4/PS5) or LB (Xbox) to aim closer and R1 (PS4/PS5) or RB (Xbox) to shoot.
