Best Drift Cars in GTA V

When in doubt, back-end out.

Vehicles have always been one of the core components of the GTA franchise. GTA V offers an already vast number of vehicles in its large open-world map for players to traverse the land with ease. With recent updates, like the After Hours and Los Santos Tuners DLC, players were treated to a long list of new vehicles, many of which are inspired by real-life enthusiast vehicles.

Alongside, tuning has been given a renewed emphasis. Players can now tune their cars to be thoroughbred drift machines, with upgrades like lowering the ride height, adjusting wheel camber and even putting on low-grip tires. It does take some practice to get the hang of drifting in GTA V. However, if going in a straight line is too mundane for you, take your pick from this list of some of the best drift cars the game has to offer.

Drift Set-up: EMS Upgrade (Level 4), Competition Suspension, Race Transmission, Turbo, Low-grip Tires

This is one of the best cars to learn drifting in, owing to its relatively low speed and weight distribution. It's easy to counter-steer, and holding a high steering angle is no problem due to its low tendency for oversteering.

The Comet is a very powerful car, with high top speed and quick acceleration. This makes it a good vehicle for intermediate drifters, as it can hold high-speed drifts with no problem. However, it does have a tendency to oversteer on a slide, which means steering input by the player needs to be precise and calculated.

Drift Set-up: EMS Upgrade (Level 4), Stock Suspension, Race Transmission, Turbo, Low-grip Tires

The Annis Remus is a lightweight car with decent amounts of power to get it into a slide. However, beginners will have a little difficulty holding a big angle in this car, as it tends to spin out. With tons of customization options, the Annis Remus also gets an edge over the competition, as drift cars usually tend to go bonkers with the modifications.

Drift Set-up: EMS Upgrade (Level 4), Stock Suspension, Race Transmission, Turbo, Low-grip Tires

Drawing inspiration from the legendary Sprinter Trueno AE86, the Karin Futo GTX is by far one of the best drift cars in GTA V, for both beginner and experienced drifters. With low-grip tires, this car will drift at virtually any speed. It has some body roll, but it doesn't take anything away from its superior handling in a slide.

Dinka RT3000

Drift Set-up: EMS Upgrade (Level 4), Competition Suspension, Race Transmission, Turbo, Standard Tires

The Dinka RT3000 is one of the best drift cars in GTA, if not the best. It has substantial amounts of power to keep it going in long, high-speed drifts. The weight distribution helps to keep the car steady and prevents it from spinning out in a big angle drift. All in all, it's a perfect drift car for both beginners and experts alike.
