How do you even manage that many characters?

The latest Xenoblade Chronicles 3 trailer showcases new gameplay and features in the sequel, including your party size. In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you can control up to seven characters in the new battle system.

The new trailer was uploaded to the official Nintendo Twitter and Nintendo YouTube channel. You can see up to seven characters on the left side of the screen in it. However, it also introduces a new pairing technique that lets your characters link up, which means you can potentially have more in your party.

Not much else is known about the new battle system nor the total amount of controllable characters. There do appear to be set pairs that can interlink, but it is unknown if you can swap out pairs with other characters.

With Xenoblade Chronicles 3 releasing on July 29, 2022, there isn't much longer to wait for the newest Xenoblade title. Monolift Soft and Nintendo are exptreced to reveal more information as the release date approaches.
