To rescue Emmet in Loot River, you must find him in the First City, the second area in the game. As Loot River uses procedural dungeons, his location will be different each time. We found him at the center of numerous platforms halfway through the area. This will also earn you the Bravery achievement.

How to equip Hats in Loot River

Once you rescue Emmet, he will return to the Sanctuary and act as a Hat vendor. You can purchase Hats using Knowledge. Once you purchase a Hat, you can equip it immediately. In future runs, Hats are found as random drops from enemies, meaning you must rely on RNG.
