Can all players go separate ways?

Not many details are known about how co-op will work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet yet, but the second trailer shows all four trainers together with their Pokémon and their splitting up. This seems to imply that players will be able to go their separate ways and not have to stay in proximity to one another.

If this is true, it leaves the question of how far apart players can get from one another without disconnecting. As the launch day approaches, the Pokémon Company will likely reveal more information about this feature.
