Minecraft 1.19 Wild update brings tons of interesting new content to the world of Minecraft. However, none of it is as intriguing as the Deep Dark biome. While most overworld biomes are easy to find, the Deep Dark is, as you can guess, located very deep underground. This makes it a little harder to find, but with the right information, you'll know right where to look. Here is where to find the Deep Dark biome in Minecraft.
Where to find the Deep Dark biome in Minecraft
This biome follows rules similar to typical caves, meaning that they will only spawn underground. Unfortunately, there is no set height at which these certain caves can spawn, though you can bet that you'll have to be pretty deep underground to find one.
The best way to search for one is to turn up your game sound and listen for one. You will begin to hear some very eerie sounds when you are close, as well as the Sculk Sensors. Sculk Sensors will let out a sort of gargle noise when you get near them, even if the sensor is on the other side of a wall. Once you hear the sound of a Sculk Shrieker, you'll be able to easily pinpoint where the Deep Dark is.

These biomes can be seen from afar due to the very dark Sculk block that covers large areas. In the Deep Dark, there is no possibility for any mobs to spawn, even though these areas often have no light sources. Triggering a Sculk Shrieker enough times will cause the Warden to spawn, who will apply the Darkness effect to you. This effect will cause your vision to deteriorate.
Deep Dark is also the only place in which Ancient Cities can spawn. These are old ruins similar to Nether Temples that often house many Chests for you to plunder. However, they are also riddled with Sculk Shriekers. The Deep Dark is definitely not for the faint of heart, and if you are looking to venture in, you want to ensure that you come prepared.
