Large Flying Wyverns with crest-shaped organs that can be vibrated to build and store vast amounts of electricity. Violent to a fault, they're known to mercilessly drive intruders from their territory.

Astalos Elemental weakness in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

No elemental damage is significant against Astalos. All but Thunder inflict damage against the Wyvern, but it's not that effective. But if you have no other choice, use Ice. Equip an Ice weapon and focus on the tail and tail tip.

If you have a Blast weapon, it's pretty effective against the Flying Wyvern, but that's about it. If you find an Epidemic Life helper to inflict Iceblight, do it, as it'll slow down the thunderous creature.
