Most Persona 5 Royal requires you to journey through the game's many palaces. These worlds encompass the true thoughts and feelings of those who control them. They even have different enemies and Personas that you can encounter. Defeating each palace means having its master confess to all of its crimes. So, how many palaces can you expect to encounter throughout the game?

All palaces in Persona 5 Royal
- Kamoshida's Palace
- This is the first palace that you will encounter. It belongs to the Shujin Academy volleyball coach of the same name. This is also the palace where you acquire Ann and Ruji in your party, the Lovers and Chariots Confidant. The palace is themed like a lover's sanctuary. Several statues of Kamoshida line the castle walls, all with eyes on Ann.
- Madarame's Palace
- This palace belongs to the renowned artist and mentor of Yusuke. This palace allows you to use Yusuke in your party, the Emperor Confidant. The palace has a gallery-like theme with pain splatters in all directions. There are also portraits of Madarame's previous students everywhere.

- Kaneshiro's Palace
- This palace belongs to a mafia boss set on blackmailing the Phantom Thieves. It is themed like a bank and requires keycard access to enter some areas. This is also the palace where you acquire Makoto to your team, the Priestess Confidant.
- Futaba's Palace
- This palace belongs to Futaba and is also the one in which she joins your team. It is themed like an Egyptian tomb with many traps and secret locations. The Hermit Confidant represents Futaba.
- Okumura's Palace
- This palace belongs to Haru's dad. It is also the palace where you can acquire Haru on your team as the Empress Confidant. It is themed after a spaceport with different airlock puzzles and doors that require keycard access.
- Niijima's Palace
- This palace belongs to Makoto's sister, Sae. It is themed like a casino with slot machines and tokens everywhere. You cannot add Sae to your team, but the Judgement Confidant represents her.
- Shido's Palace
- This palace belongs to Masayoshi Shido, who is looking to take over Japan via political means. This palace is themed like a cruise ship with obnoxiously prestigious people aboard.
- Maruki's Palace
- This palace is only available in Persona 5 Royal. This palace belongs to Takuto Maruki, who represents the Councilor Confidant. You cannot add him to your team, but he does act as the Shujin Academy school counselor.
