Modern Warfare 2 gold camo not unlocking – How to Fix

Modern Warfare 2 has had one of the biggest launches in the Call of Duty series and has seen numerous players flock to its multiplayer. With so many players and a recent launch, there are bound to be issues, like the bugs around the gold camo skin. This may leave you wondering how to fix the gold camo not unlocking and not being able to equip in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

How to fix the gold camo bug in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

There are currently two known bugs regarding the gold camo skin in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The first is the final challenge needed to unlock the skin not appearing, and the second is needing help to select and equip the skin on the PC using the mouse. Here is how to fix the gold camo bugs in MW2.

• How to fix the gold camo challenge not appearing in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
  • While you cannot directly fix the challenge not appearing, you can still complete it. All you have to do is get three kills without dying ten times. Doing this will unlock the gold camo even if the challenge does not appear.
• How to fix the gold camo not able to be equipped in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
  • While some players cannot equip the gold camo using the mouse on PC, you can still use a keyboard or controller. You must simply use the WASD keys on your keyboard or a controller. This will allow you to equip the skin as normal.

These two issues are annoying, to be sure, but fortunately are easy to get around. Activision and Infinity Ward will likely patch these at some point, but for now, use one of the workarounds above to unlock and equip the gold camo skin in Modern Warfare 2.
