You must light three torches in The Abandoned Village in God of War Ragnarök to open the Nornir Chest. Some of these require using the bucket of flame attached to the crane. Here is how to light all three torches in The Abandoned Village to open the Nornir Chest in God of War Ragnarök.

To use the crane and flame it holds:

1. Clear any brambles in the area with the Blades of Chaos.
2. Use the Leviathan Axe to spin the crane until the bucket is close to the torch.
3. Strike the bucket with the Blades of Chaos and move the left stick to swing the bucket at the torch. This will light it.

Torch #1

This torch is located directly in front of the chest. Simply face the chest, turn around, and use the Blades of Chaos to ignite the torch.

Torch #2

The second torch is found beside the crane on one of the rocky hills. Align the crane so the bucket is near the torch, then use your Blades of Chaos to swing the bucket into the torch. It will glow blue when you successfully light it.
